Hooked Design is a young design company that makes lace carpets from textile industry left-over material. Each one of the carpets is crocheted by hand which makes them unique. Designer Minna Kokko has designed the lace carpets and the idea for the design came from a trip to Paris when she was watching the windows of the cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris. The name "Hooked Design" comes from the traditional crocheting technique which requires a crochet hook.
Responsible business is important to us and our operations are based on principles of sustainable development. We have published our supply chain on our website and we want to act as openly as possible. Currently we donate one euro from each carpet to UNICEF.
All of our products are 100% textile industry leftover material. The material is mostly cotton but may include synthetic fibers. Because every piece is handmade and we use recycled material, the thickness and colors of the products may vary. The round carpets are available in sizes: 50 - 200cm (diameter). The basic sizes are 60cm, 90cm, 120cm and 140cm. Basic colors are white, off-white, grey, red and black. Other colors are available on request!
